Certificate III in Individual Support

Course Description:

This Nationally Recognised qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

Delivered in conjunction with The Gordon, participants will complete a total of 17 units over a 26-week period. Four of the 17 units are from Certificate IV in Individual Support. Placement will be undertaken in 3 blocks throughout the course.

CHCAGE005 Provide support to people living with dementia
CHCCS011 Meet personal support needs
CHCCCS025 Support relationships with carers & families
CHCHCS001 Provide home & community support services
CHCDIS003 Support community participation and social inclusion

CHCPAL001 Deliver care services using a palliative approach
HLTINF001 Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures
HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication
HLTAID003 Provide first aid

HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices

Three separate blocks of work placement
