Core Units from CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways


Course Description:

This course gets you ready to start work in the construction industry and prepare you for a trade apprenticeship.

Delivered in partnership with The Gordon, this course will take place in a small group learning setting with additional support and individual mentoring provided by Northern Futures Work and Learning Advisors.

The program involves industry visits where you will get to meet our industry partners and experience different trade workplaces. On completion of the program you may be eligible for up to 7 units credit towards apprenticeship study at Certificate III level.

CPCCWHS2001  Apply WHS requirements, polices and procedures in the construction industry

CPCCOM1012   Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry

CPSWHS1001   Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

CPCCCA2011   Handle carpentry material

CPCCOM1013  Plan and organise work

CPCCCA2002 Use carpentry tools and equipment

CPCCO2013 Carry out concreting to simple forms

CPCCM2006  Apply basic leveling procedures

7 weeks (4 days per week)
