Certificate II in Civil Construction


Course Description:

This course is designed to develop the foundational skills necessary to gain
access to an apprenticeship in civil construction.

Participants will complete a total of 16 units over a 15 week period. The course is very practical with assessments based on hands on tasks. You will develop a number of practical skills and learn how to safely use and maintain tools and equipment used in Civil Construction.

The course also includes:

  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Forklift Licence
  • Stop/Slow Bat Traffic Control Training

RIICCM203E Read and interpret plans and job specifications
RIICCM205F Carry out manual excavation
RIICCM207E Spread and compact materials manually
RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace
RIISAM203E Use hand and power tools
RIISAM204E Operate small plant and equipment
RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
Plus six elective units yet to be confirmed
